First Atlantic Restoration is seeking a Lead Mitigation Technician in the Newport News/Hampton area that is highly motivated, reliable, personable, and hard working. The Lead Technician is responsible for performing and overseeing the hands-on water, fire, mold, and trauma scene mitigation work.

- Minimum 3-years experience in emergency services as Lead Technician or equivalent
- A driver’s license
- Excellent verbal, written, telephonic and interpersonal communication skills
- IICRC Certification in Water Damage Restoration (WRT), Applied Microbial Restoration (AMRT), and Fire and Smoke Remediation (FSRT)
- Proficient in MS Office, DocuSketch, MICA, and reading an Xactimate scope of work
- Excellent knowledge of mitigation and restoration processes and equipment
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple people and projects while working under deadlines
- Convey a positive image of FAR in accordance with company policies and core values
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with all FAR team members and departments

This job requires weekend work and may have overtime requirements. Drug testing and background checks will be done prior to hiring.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a team of 2-3 mitigation technicians
- Remove damaged building materials that the restoration process can occur in the most efficient manner
- Participate in the on-call rotation schedule as required
- Maintain proper equipment tracking procedures
- Communicate with the property owner effectively and compassionately in a polite and courteous manner
Salary : $25 - $30
