What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Service Specialist position at First Bank Texas?
Loan Service Specialist play a crucial role in supporting the Lending staff by performing various loan servicing tasks to prepare loans for both consumer and commercial non real estate loan portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing loans for personal and commercial non real estate loans
- Onboard new loans into the Bank’s Loan Management System (LMS), ensuring all data is accurate and supported by loan documentation.
- File loan modification and property-related documents electronically.
- Process monthly debt service and reserve payments as needed.
- Manage property tax and insurance information, including conducting periodic escrow analyses, confirming payments of real estate taxes and insurance premiums, and maintaining records.
- Collect, verify, and file borrower and guarantor financial statements, tax returns, credit checks, and related documents.
- Monitor compliance requirements such as expiring flood certifications and UCC filings, ensuring all items are processed according to Bank policy and loan agreements.
- Adhere to Bank policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Management may modify the role as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of bank terminology.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting commercial loan documents.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
- At least three years banking experience required
