Quality Control Associate
We are seeking a Quality Control Associate (Masterfile Clerk) to join our banking operations team. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the master file system, ensuring that customer records, account information, and financial data are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail and be able to perform thorough checks on various bank records to prevent errors or inconsistencies.
Responsibilities:
- Data Verification and Accuracy:
- Review and validate account data in the master file to ensure all information is accurate, complete, and aligned with banking standards.
- Monitor changes to customer records, making sure that modifications comply with regulatory guidelines.
- Error Identification and Resolution:
- Identify discrepancies or errors in master files and initiate corrective actions.
- Investigate and resolve data issues or inconsistencies in partnership with internal teams.
- Record Maintenance:
- Ensure the bank’s master files are consistently updated and properly stored to avoid errors or security risks.
- Perform regular audits and assessments of data for quality assurance purposes.
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
- Ensure all processes related to data handling, account management, and master file updates comply with federal and state regulations.
- Assist in preparing documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.
- Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., customer service, IT, legal) to ensure data accuracy and resolve issues.
- Prepare reports related to data quality issues, trends, and corrective actions for senior management.
- Process Improvement:
- Suggest and contribute to process improvements to enhance data accuracy, system efficiency, and overall operations.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on best practices in data management and banking operations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a banking, financial services, or data management role
- Familiarity with data entry, data analysis, and quality control processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and banking software.
- Good understanding of banking operations, regulations, and compliance standards.
