Job Description:
This person assists Mortgage Loan Officers and coordinates with Mortgage Processors to provide additional support for the Mortgage Loan Officer(s). Assist with interviewing customers and manage mortgage loans to ensure they meet established lending requirements and criteria under the direction of a Mortgage Loan Officer.
Qualifications: This person should have a bachelor’s degree, plus a minimum of four years of work-related experience or the equivalent. Good communication skills and the ability to interact with customers, realtors and other professionals are required. This person must be experienced in mortgage lending concepts, practices and procedures.
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Provide quality customer service while interacting with Loan Officers and Specialists, customers, Realtors and other professionals.
2. Manage pipeline volumes to insure mortgage loan applications are progressing as needed. Including but not limited to tracking and assisting with withdrawn and denied files, requesting additional documentation from customers and assisting with issues as they arise.
3. Assist with gathering and completion of application information. Ensuring complete, accurate information is obtained from the borrowers. Prepare preapproval letters for customers once income and credit information has been gathered and reviewed.
4. Prepare mortgage loan application documents including TRID disclosures and deliver to borrowers in appropriate timeframes, as needed according to established procedures.
5. Manage the Mortgage Returns and Synapsys CRM systems and send correspondence to realtors, customers and prospects as directed by loan officers
6. Knowledge of interest rates and programs to be able to assist loan officer in quoting rates and terms to customers. Request and confirm lock in information with investors. Update loan file and prepare necessary documentation.
7. Assist with answering of the Mortgage Loan Officer’s incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, return calls and coordinate and schedule closings with the title companies, borrowers, realtors, loan officers and specialists
8. Be able and willing to assist all originating, processing, closing and post-closing functions as needed. Assist with providing exceptional customer service from origination through closing.
9. Have a strong working knowledge of the different secondary market investors, insurors and their guidelines
10. Attend all team meetings and training seminars, as deemed appropriate by the supervisor.
11. Act in accordance with FBT policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.
12. Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training.
