SUMMARY:
The Business Intelligence Analyst I (BIA I) is responsible for working with the Data team and analyzing information using a variety of techniques to ensure data is captured and communicated in an accurate and effective manner. The associate will use data intelligence skills and techniques to assess, monitor, and improve data-driven processes within the Bank. The BI Analyst may work with Line of Business (LoB) teams on data and reporting needs, LoB request priority, data and reporting quality, and data presentation effectiveness. Business Intelligence Analyst I will grow into being an expert within one Line of Business (such as Finance, Commercial, Small Business, Retail, ETC.) and cross train across the other LoB. The Business Intelligence Analyst I will be provided guidance from other members of the Data Team such as Business Intelligence Analyst II (BIA II), Data Solutions Architect (DSA) or the Chief Data Officer (CDO). The BIA I will primarily focus on internal tactical reporting; while the BIA II roles will also produce internal and external strategic reporting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide end user support and training (navigation, report access, dashboard organization, etc.) on use of BI tools (Primarily PowerBI)
- Assist with administrator of Data Team’s management reporting software system; manage daily processing, updates and users.
- Under guidance Prepare dashboards and report development as required/requested
- Analyze business requirements/requests and processes and recommending solutions/automations to the management for implementation.
- Participate with development planning meeting and setting priorities/monitoring status.
- Work with developers to ensure accurate and timely execution of programming/project requests; validation and documentation of testing before and after roll-outs.
- Assist with creation and maintance of documentation that includes the design, requirements and user manuals for LoB reporting.
- Identify efficiencies and development needs for streamlining and improving First Bank Data Delivery.
- Aim for majority (if not all) the Dashboard/Reporting outcomes are automated.
- Completes annual compliance courses.
- Adheres specifically to all corporate policies and procedures. Also adheres to Federal and State regulations and laws; including, the Bank Secrecy Act and the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
- Adheres to all levels of our Service Excellence standards.
- Performs other duties as required.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge & Experience: These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.

- Bachelor's degree.

- Maybe waived based on such items as College Internships
- Nice to have Knowledge of Bank operations, products and services and other Bank operational policies and procedures. Role is expected to gain this knowledge to progress within First Bank
- Under guidance work towards gaining exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct personnel.
Physical Demands/Work Environment: Vision, hearing, speech, dexterity, visual concentration. A valid driver’s license is required. Must have the ability to stand, walk, sit and use hands and fingers. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The environment is a professional office with standard office equipment.
