The Business Banker will develop relationships with prospective and existing clients and will be responsible for overall management of those relationships.  Responsibilities will include generating deposit accounts and small business loans. 


Responsibilities

  • Builds relationships with clients by providing value added services and expertise.
  • Participates in company’s organized officer call program.
  • Through a deep understanding of bank products and services, uncovers needs and makes recommendations to clients and prospects.
  • Partners with Retail Banking, Business Development, and Treasury Management personnel to create new and expand existing client relationships.
  • Identifies current and prospective sales and expansion opportunities by reviewing client and market data and trends.
  • Serves as the primary banking contact for small businesses and handles their lending needs.
  • Establishes and negotiates the terms under which credit will be extended, including the costs, repayment method and schedule, and collateral requirements with guidance from the Senior Loan Officer and Senior Credit Officer.
  • Presents loan requests to the Bank’s Loan Committee.
  • Partners with the Private Bankers, Personal Bankers, and Retail Staff carry out the strategic plan for the branch.
  • Strategically maintains public relations with the community by serving on local boards and committees and attending community functions.
