Job Summary
K-12th grade teachers will prayerfully and professionally assist our students with learning subject matter, life skills, good behavior, good work habits, and positive attitudes about our school, our country, and our community. K-12th grade teachers will help our scholars become Champions for Christ as they grow and develop into mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women to the honor and glory of God.

Responsibilities

Provide equal educational opportunity by meeting each students social, emotional, and academic needs.

· Use disciplinary procedures conducive to improving behavior.

· Have high expectations for students, but realistic.

· Foster mutual esteem among students.

· Use clear instructional language so that students understand the work and procedures for accomplishing it.

· Establish an accountability system by monitoring work in progress, establishing routines for turning in work, and provide regular feedback to students.

· Recognize that the manner in which a teacher addresses a student often affects the way that a student responds.

· Establish and maintain classroom management procedures, which are fair to all students.

· Follow curriculum mapping to develop weekly lesson plans to complete 170 lessons.

· Administer weekly test and quizzes.

· Posting lesson plans and grades weekly.

· Work with grade level peers to develop grade level schedules. Foster peer relations with all staff.

· Foster and maintain parent relationships of their students through RenWeb and parent/teacher conferences.

Spiritual goals for k-12th Grade Teachers:

l. Be a positive Christian role model in speech, behavior, attitudes and actions. “Bless the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart that they may be acceptable, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.”

2. Teach by example the importance of prayer, how to pray and reverence for prayer and the reading of God’s Word. Lead in scripture memorization, the daily study of God’s word and witnessing to the lost. Develop through prayer and Bible reading a feeling of fellowship in our children, always reminding them of the privilege they have of having been chosen as a child of God and the responsibility they have to live as Jesus did. “Study to show yourself approved, a workman who does not shame God.”

3. Follow the Matthew 18 principle of respecting children as one of God’s most precious gifts. Remember the warning that Jesus spoke to those around him about the value of each child. “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones who believe in Me, it were better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”

4. Motivate students to accept God’s and the responsibility and importance that they grow in their faith. “Jesus grew in wisdom, in grace, stature and in favor with God and Man.”

5. Lead students to realize their self-worth based on the mercy and grace of a Loving God and his Son, Jesus Christ.

6. When asked to serve and direct Christian services be willing to share your faith openly and happily with others.

State educational and job experience requirements]

Elementary: Bachelors of Education and/OR be willing to obtain a Professional Teaching Certificate through the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, Inc. Take courses each year that are required to maintain certificate.

Middle/High School: Bachelors of Education and/OR be willing to obtain a Professional Teaching Certificate through the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, Inc. Take courses each year that are required to maintain certificate.

While we recognize the role of parents as primarily responsible before God for their child’s education it is your job to assist them in this task. Be alert to share your concerns with parents and to work as a team to grow our champions.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
