Production Director

Church at the Cross (CATC) is a driven, dynamic, and hungry multicultural church in the heart of Central FL. CATC is looking to do whatever it takes to make much of Jesus. We’re not holding on to old models and methods for tradition’s sake but rather constantly evaluating how to do things most creatively and effectively to reach people for the Gospel. We have an enormous task to accomplish and a long way to go, but we are on the right track.

We seek a passionate and driven Production Director with a heart to do whatever it takes to utilize technology to enhance our services and events. Church at the Cross is located in one of the fastest growing areas within the country, with a constant influx of new families from all over the country and world pouring into our community. Central Florida Christian Academy (CFCA) is our largest ministry with nearly 500 students on campus every day. This is an opportunity for someone hungry and driven to hit a home run for the Glory of the Lord. Will it be easy? Absolutely not... but it will be worth it!!!

I. QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma

· 3 years of related experience

· Heart for service to the Lord

· Desire to empower people to serve

· Self-motivated, self-directed requiring minimal supervision

· Embrace change and can adapt quickly with a “whatever it takes” attitude

· Able to figure it out, follow through, and get it done

· Strong ability to relate to all staff with compassion, humility, and confidence

· Requires technical skills, flexibility, and excellent interpersonal skills

· Ability to identify and meet strict time constraints for specific tasks

· Experience in the following technologies or similar:

§ Audio – Dante, Studio One, Pro Tools, Q-SYS, Allen and Heath SQ Series

§ Lighting – Hog PC, Cue Server, ArtNet, Streaming ACN

§ Video – Ross Carbonite Ultrix, Black Magic Design, ProPresenter, NovaStar LED Wall Processing, Crestron NVX VoIP, Broadcast Cameras

§ Systems – Crestron Control, Stream Deck, Clearcom HelixNet

II. RESPONSIBILITIES

· Oversee all aspects of the production department, including staff, interns, and volunteers. Ensure proper operation of audio (live and broadcast), lighting, and video broadcast equipment campus wide.

· Serve as the production point person during Sunday experiences and large special events, supervising all production activity on campus, in all venues.

· Lead pre-production meetings with production and music team members.

· Plan, prepare, sequence, and execute elements of services and shows produced by CATC and CFCA, to include services, special gatherings, and performances on or off campus. This will include operating equipment as needed.

· Build intern and volunteer pipeline, growing their skills and utilizing their talents to support events throughout the campus. Establish growth tracks for team members and provide training opportunities.

· Partner with CFCA Production Program to train students and grow their stills to support all events happening on campus.

· Schedule personnel for events and services to ensure proper staffing levels

· Subject matter expert on system components and integrations to include audio, video, and lighting. Provide campus-wide AVL support to all ministries at CATC.

· Review and approve calendar requests requiring production support

· Rapidly troubleshoot, resolve, and mitigate issues during Sunday experiences or other live events

· Develop and execute maintenance and preventative measures to ensure equipment consistently runs at peak performance

· Maintain log of items to be corrected and enter tasks as needed to resolve later

· Maintain central production storage and sign out/sign in of equipment

· Maintain cleanliness of production areas throughout the campus

· Maintain and order consumable supplies such as batteries, tape, etc.

· Coordinate stage design and execution

· Seek out and implement new technology and resources to improve Sunday and other experiences

· Manage projects as needed within the Production Team

· Carry and operate a two-way radio during shows and services.

· Operate ladders, lifts, tools, and other equipment in a safe manner.

· Develop detailed knowledge of operation and integration of all equipment.

· Put measures in place to ensure that equipment and supplies are secured against damage, loss, or theft.

· Begin and end projects within reasonable timeframes and communicates needs.

· Proficient with current technology and communication tools.

· Aligned with organizational vision, goals, values, and policies.

· Works well with others and within a team environment.
