Job Description

SUMMARY

To technically support the worship ministries of First Naples and event productions.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that all presentation systems are configured and ready for all events as scheduled.
Support scheduled event productions.
Help coordinate the sharing of event spaces among all ministries.
Have a keen focus on the AVL needs of First Baptist Academy
Train and develop volunteers to help in the support of worship and event productions.
Maintain and update AVL equipment.
Research and develop new technologies used for worship and event productions.
Cooperate with the Pastor of AVL by performing any other duties when asked to do so.

SPECIALIZING IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS :

AVL production technologies

Equipping and development of volunteers

EVALUATION AREAS FOR ROLE

Will report directly to First Naples Media Pastor.

QUALIFICATIONS

A servant's heart for Jesus Christ and willingness to work and be available at different hours.

Professional experience supporting AVL event productions.

Problem solving skills required.

Ability to formulate upgrade strategies, desire to stay up-to-date on emerging technologies.

Must be able to demonstrate written and verbal communication skills.

Expert knowledge of computers and software (Macintosh / Apple, Adobe products, Google Apps Suite, MS Office products), required.

Understanding of computer ethernet based computer networking.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to communicate effectively in English and Spanish. The individual must have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work with a diverse group of people, communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone, e-mail, and in person, and demonstrate tact and diplomacy. Exceptional interpersonal skills are required to develop and maintain strong working relationships with volunteers, co-workers, the public, and church members and regular attendees. The individual must have the ability to understand written or oral instructions; read, analyze and interpret complex documents, instruction manuals, and policies and procedures is essential both in English and Spanish.

REASONING ABILITY

The ability to simultaneously conceptualize and plan multiple tasks, project outcomes using different implementation strategies, and apply creative and innovative thinking to problem situations is required. The ability to work effectively and efficiently under stressful conditions to ensure deadlines are met is essential.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, sing, and speak. The employee must be able to use their hands and arms to reach and be able to carry fifty pounds.

MEDIA MINISTRY EXPECTATIONS FOR EMPLOYEES :

You will reflect a Christ like demeanor in all your interactions with fellow First Naples employees and the congregation of FBCN. As outlined in Scripture you will have, "..love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control;..." (Galatians 5 : 22-23)

You will work hard at agreeing more than disagreeing with the Pastoral staff of First Naples.

You will edify the staff and body of First Naples by encouraging one another and building one another up. (1 Thessalonians 5 : 11)

You will be a team player. Be on board with what is going on here at First Naples, not against it. Your ideas and concerns are important, but when the decision is made support it even if you are against it.

You will maintain a humble and teachable spirit.

Your communication with staff members and ministries (via email, texting, voice call, etc.) will be timely, with a sense of urgency.

You will keep your office organized and clean.

You will keep your appearance in compliance with the Technology Ministry Dress code.

You will have a happy, welcoming and inviting attitude by taking the initiative of greeting your co-workers and First Naples guests first.

You will be helpful, not a hindrance to the ministry of First Naples.

Do all things without grumbling or complaining (Philippians 2 : 14)

You will understand that your timing is not necessarily the timing of the ministries you support.

Lastly, be a hard worker. We are blessed to work here at First Naples and we should never take that for granted.
