Director of Athletic Ministries (DoAM)
12-Month Employee / Non-Coaching Position)

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Director of Athletic Ministries to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for integrating faith and discipleship into athletics while fostering character development, teamwork, and excellence in student-athletes. This individual will play a key role in mentoring coaches, staff, and volunteers, ensuring that our athletic programs align with the mission and values of First Naples Church and First Baptist Academy.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Athletic Administration, Sports Management, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in athletic administration, coaching, or ministry-related sports programs. Proven experience in managing staff, coaches, and volunteers within an athletic or ministry setting. Strong knowledge of budgeting, fundraising, and facility management for athletic programs. Familiarity with state and regional athletic regulations, league requirements, and compliance standards. Experience in Christian ministry, discipleship, or faith-based education preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES :
Employee Leadership and Discipleship :
- Align the vision of First Naples (FNC) Athletic ministries (church and school) with the Mission of FNC.
- Lead Athletic Ministry Staff for both FNC and FBA.
- Oversee all hiring and training of Athletic Staff (Paid and Volunteers)
- Oversee all aspects of Discipleship and Kingdom Education for all athletic staff, coaches, and ministry volunteers.
- Establishes the organizational structure of the Athletic Department.
- Serve as an administrative representative at all FBA sporting contests, external professional conferences, and regional and state meetings.
- Secure coaches for teams, ensuring the proper application and background clearance through Human Resources has been conducted before placing them in the field.
- Conduct coaches' meetings, clinics, in-service training, observations and evaluations of performance for each coach.
- Ensures all athletes the opportunity to excel in the team sports arena by modeling discipleship, athletic training and contests, and implementing community service opportunities for all levels of students.
