GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of First Naples. Assists the Operations & Facilities department to work toward excellence in all areas of the ministry.
SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General maintenance
Painting
Simple repairs and assemblies
Light janitorial
Sweeping corridors
Changing light bulbs
Cleaning out storage spaces
Admin / Clerical tasks
Perfect candidate(s) would be anyone interested in construction management, carpentry, or facilities management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related field. Experience with maintenance, repairs, or janitorial work is preferred. Familiarity with basic tools and repair techniques is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The individual must have strong communication skills to effectively engage with staff, volunteers, and vendors. They should be able to clearly explain maintenance tasks, provide updates, and follow instructions both verbally and in writing. The ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively is essential.
COMPUTER AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic computer skills are required, including proficiency with word processing, email, and spreadsheets. Experience with maintenance tracking systems or inventory management software is helpful. Basic math skills are necessary for tracking supply usage and managing small repair budgets.
REASONING ABILITY
The individual must be able to identify and solve maintenance issues, prioritize tasks, and adapt to unexpected challenges. They should be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to assess needs for repairs or improvements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be actively involved in physical tasks such as lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and moving equipment. They must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be provided to support those with disabilities.
