Infants Teacher

The Infant Teacher is responsible for the care, supervision and management of a class of Infants (6 wks-12 months age) in accord with the goals and curriculum. Children, develop action plans, carry out activities on a daily basis and evaluate the effectiveness of child development activities, ensure the safety and well-being of the children, maintain regular communication with parents, and contribute to the effective operation of the overall early care and education center.

Toddler Teacher

The Toddler Teacher is responsible for the care and education of infants age(24- 36 months). The Teacher is responsible for creating a warm and nurturing relationship with each child and family. Using observation and assessment tools and documenting each child’s growth and learning in relation to his or her development.

Preschool Teacher

Preschool teachers naturally need to be great with little kids and excellent communicators with their parents. There are additional responsibilities included in the following list that stay part of every preschool teacher job description.

  • Create lesson plans and learning outcomes that teach children basic school facts such as numbers and shapes.
  • Arrange different centers and groups for children to rotate through during the day.
  • Write recaps of what the children did during the day for parents or guardians.
  • Enforce excellent classroom management so that students stay on-task and focused during the day.
  • Conduct quarterly evaluations of students and schedule parent-teacher conferences.
  • Lead story time and circle time for students.
  • Work with teacher aids and paraprofessionals to help students who need extra levels of support and focus on their inclusion in their classroom.

Skills:
Provide activities for children and provide them with the chance to make the most of their curiosity.

  • Attend to the personal hygiene of every child such as changing diapers/soiled clothes and washing hands.
  • Play with kids and get down on the floor to relate to them
  • Assist in the creation of a classroom setting conducive to learning and suitable to the physical, social, and emotional growth of students.
  • Formulate plans for language development and literacy skills.
  • Assist in the choice of books, equipment and other instructional materials suitable for the early childhood program.
  • Maintain a safe environment based on security standards
  • Help other employees in preparing meals for children as necessary.
  • Clean and organize children's rooms and handle any dangerous equipment.
  • Work helpfully and efficiently as a team member by actively communicating information.
  • Assist in the growth and facilitation of interactive parent and child literacy activities.
  • Maintain friendly and helpful relationship with each child’s family and encourage their involvement in the program.
  • Work together with the children in a way which promote admiration and development.
  • Support the social and emotional growth and well-being of children.

Abilities:

  • Must have a warm and supportive attitude and disposition toward working with children and their families.
  • Must be reliable.
  • Must be flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes in the program.
  • Must be willing to accept supervision in order to improve work performance.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children.'

  • 40 Hours DCF Trainning (Preferred)
