Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Loan Assistant/Servicer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial services, commercial/mortgage loan servicing, and credit analysis.
Duties:
- Provide basic secretarial support and coordinate reporting, report distribution and file maintenance for the commercial department.
- Perform a variety of customer service activities including responding to requests, researching discrepancies and resolving issues.
- Assist commercial loan officer(s) with disbursement of new and existing loans, including filing loan documents with appropriate agencies. Verifies property taxes are paid and lien information is recorded. Tracks financial statements, ensures insurance is up-to-date including communication with insurance agents and county offices.
- Assists in preparing loan documents in accordance with loan approval requirements. Reviews loan documents noting proper rates, terms and conditions of the loan. Ensures appropriate approvals and actions are taken for a successful loan closing. Conducts pre-closing and post-closing file review.
- Creates and maintains loan records, including preparing notices and reports, auditing and finalizing forms or contracts with disbursement of new and existing loans. Prepares, tracks and mails adverse actions in a timely manner.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Three to five years of similar or related experience.
-High school education or GED.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients, lenders, and internal teams effectively.
-Proficiency in Microsoft suite. Strong written communication skills including grammar, spelling and composition. Symitar experience preferred.
Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.35 - $21.69 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
