Key Responsibilities
- Program Management : Develop, implement, and manage environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs and policies to promote a safe working environment.
- Compliance and Audits : Conduct regular audits of EHS programs to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations. Identify areas for improvement and ensure corrective actions are effectively executed.
- Training and Development : Lead safety training sessions to enhance employee awareness and adherence to best practices in safety.
- Inspection and Investigation : Create and enforce inspection policies, coordinate corrective actions, and assist in initial investigations of safety incidents.
- Safety Metrics : Track, analyze, and report on safety performance and goals. Use data to drive improvements and inform decision-making.
- Document Control : Manage and distribute controlled documents, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Committee Leadership : Oversee the safety committee, set objectives, and drive initiatives to enhance workplace safety.
- Site Leadership : Act as a safety ambassador on site, providing guidance and support to employees on safety-related matters.
