What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at First Brands Group, LLC?
Manage sample submissions for molded, extruded, lathe cut, and TPE parts and all other products as required. Assure customer quality print requirements and customer specific requirements are satisfied, as applicable.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate PPAP activities and ISIR submission as necessary to satisfy customer requirements (including customer specific requirements)
- Prepare documents for the submission of sample inspection reports, ISIRs or PPAPs as required
- Initiate PPAP as the result of a correction of a discrepancy on a previous submission
- Complete dimensional measurements and capability assessments as required
- Request a waiver of PPAP if required
- Maintain the sample inspection report log for submissions and approvals of PPAPs and ISIRs
- Monitor sample order progress and communication to departments or sales as necessary to meet customer requirements
- Assist QA manager, sales, production, material lab, etc. regarding capability studies and measurements of product when required for improvement and problem solving activities
- Ability to maintain regular attendance record for required work schedule
Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience in manufacturing quality is preferred
- Able to communicate effectively in English with or without a translator (speak, read and write legibly)
- Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
