Work Model: Hybrid with the requirement of 3 days per week at either location: Madison or Brookfield, WI.
The Commercial Banking Assistant is a key contributor in servicing the overall commercial loan portfolio. A coordinator who can effectively multi-task to achieve predetermined deadlines, proactively reviews both the maturing notes reports and memos outstanding report, and gathers data needed to underwrite renewals from systems or reports. Supporting multiple Bankers in a timely, accurate and concise manner.
Key Responsibilities:

Loan Renewals:
- Professional support for multiple Bankers within a Region or cross Regionally
- Prepares renewal underwriting list of items needed using data from enterprise software or reports, forms recommendation on renewal approval path using basic knowledge of loan policy
- Reviews loan documents to ensure accuracy of rate, date, amount, repayment terms

Exceptions:
- Pull tickler reports, format, and distribute to internal clients
- Request financials via client portal or print and mail letters to client
- Using Banks loan origination system (tickler management)
- ‘Checks in’ financial and non-financial information received from clients
- Merges, labels, converts, and organizes the same for scanning in accordance with Bank’s process
- With expanded knowledge of the process the CRA II can effectively troubleshoot impasses in the process

Servicing & Transactions:
- Support commercial loan payments and loan draws
- Approves expanded scope of invoices for payments to vendors
- Resource for CRS and Finance regarding any discrepancies
- Prepares payoff quotes or monthly invoice supplements using preapproved template with preapproved release criteria for approval by others where required

Correspondence:
- Prepares covenant violation waiver or non-waiver letters using set templates
- Prepare reports and distribute to internal clients
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and multitasking skills required
- 1 year banking experience required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required
- Basic knowledge of loan documentation is preferred
