Duties & Responsibilities
- Use tools and dies to build fixtures and create new dies as needed.
- Repair dies, molds, and tools; disassemble and reassemble components as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to construct new fixtures, tools, and machine parts.
- Inspect completed tools and dies for imperfections that may impact functionality.
- Perform regular testing and setup of equipment, tools, and machines to ensure efficiency.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace.
- Utilize CAD software for design creation and blueprint development (a plus).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to safely and accurately operate measuring and production equipment.
- Thorough understanding of metallic properties.
- Capability to work independently and collaborate with engineers and machinists.
- On-the-job training available.
- Welding certification is a plus.
- Experience with TIG/MIG welding.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
