Overview:
First Care Transportation is seeking a compassionate and reliable NEMT Driver to provide safe and timely transportation services for patients who require assistance getting to and from medical appointments and treatments.
Duties:
- Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.
- Ensure the timely pick-up and drop-off of patients according to their scheduled appointments.
- Provide physical assistance to patients with mobility issues, including the use of wheelchairs, walkers, or other assistive devices.
- Ensure patients are comfortable and secure during the trip.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and dispatchers.
- Provide timely updates to dispatchers regarding trip status and any delays.
- Ensure clear and compassionate communication with patients and their caregivers.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure the safety of patients and other road users.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
- Address any patient concerns or complaints professionally and promptly.
- Ensure a positive and supportive environment during transportation.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Successful Completion of a Comprehensive Background Check
- Ability To Pass a Drug Screening
- Experience in patient care or a related field (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and assist patients with mobility challenges.
- Familiarity with GPS and navigation systems.
