We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary
The Purchasing Assistant will play a crucial role in sourcing and procuring goods and services to support the Company’s operations, both internally and externally. This role requires a strong focus on delivering outstanding customer service to store operators, operations management, internal departments, and vendors. Reporting to the Director of Purchasing & Support Services, the Purchasing Assistant will ensure all purchasing activities align with the Company's quality, efficiency, and cost standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Processing: Accurately process supply orders from Company stores, operations management, and other departments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with operations teams and departments to understand purchasing needs, improve processes, and forecast supply requirements.
- Compliance: Review and process purchase orders to ensure they meet Company policies and standards, while guaranteeing timely delivery of goods and services.
- Vendor Management: Maintain and strengthen vendor relationships to ensure seamless order processing, address issues, and implement preventative solutions.
- Inventory Monitoring: Track inventory levels and place orders as necessary, ensuring optimal stock availability.
- Data Maintenance: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, pricing, and relevant data to support decision-making.
- Market Insights: Stay informed about market trends and changes in supply chain dynamics to ensure efficient procurement strategies.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Purchasing Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Keen attention to detail with the ability to analyze data effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
What We Offer
