What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Analyst position at First Central Savings Bank?
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.
Purpose: To ensure that the quality control and the due diligence process of all residential loan originations is performed and that underwriting and legal instruments are in compliance with established internal procedures and regulatory guidelines.
Essential Job Functions:
- Review the accuracy of required documentation and underwriting for the Bank’s residential loan programs to ensure proper standards are met in connection with both internal policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines as applicable.
- Process, review and order all necessary documentation, including borrower’s submitted documents and third-party reports.
- Review appraisal for completeness according to all the Bank’s residential loan programs to ensure proper standards are met in connection with internal standards comment on any missing items or errors and notify underwriting when appraisal is ready for review. Contact appraisers for any updates and corrections according to underwriter’s instructions.
- Prepare and follow through on all completed appraisals, ensuring delivery to the borrowers within the necessary time frame.
- Assist in requesting any outstanding documents from the processing team to complete and finalize the file for closing.
- Provide a post-closing review of all legal instruments to ensure that they were fully executed and returned.
- Review the bank prepared forms for accuracy and inconsistencies. Advise on any necessary corrections prior to the delivery to the borrower. This includes the review of disclosures, HMDA, TRID, Flood Act and other general compliance disclosures.
- Monitor and manage work flow to ensure timely closings
- Maintain product knowledge and stay up-to-date on changes to market conditions
- Assist management, as required, in the periodic loan audits to ensure loans comply with Federal and State laws.

- Possess excellent follow up, planning, prioritization, organizational and excellent time management skills
- Able to work independently and proactively, prioritizing work load and handle multiple tasks
- Must be flexible, able to work overtime hours in a fast paced, potentially stressful environment.
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook are required
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
