Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time IT Manager for First Choice Community Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Lillington, NC. The role of the IT Manager is responsible for - the planning, implementation, and management of information technology systems to support clinical, administrative, and operational goals within a healthcare organization. This role involves ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of healthcare IT infrastructure, including electronic health records (EHR), practice management systems, and telehealth platforms. The IT Manager collaborates with clinical and administrative leadership to align technology initiatives with organizational objectives while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, budget management, vendor relations, team leadership, and the development of policies and procedures to protect patient data and optimize IT performance in a patient-centered healthcare environment.

- Identify technology needs and make recommendations to business decision-makers
- Evaluate health center’s adherence to federal technology requirements for security and compliance.
- Build and collaborate with the IT team including technicians, HER specialists and vendors
- Maintain the hardware and software systems
- Plan and implement technologies for growth and lifecycle management
- Disseminate and leverage educational materials to train new personnel and keep current personnel up to date on IT best practices and changes
- Participate in crafting and managing a budget
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive IT management experience
- Preferred education - BS in computer science, or related field
- Preferred experience in a healthcare environment
- Experience implementing and managing the following technologies:
- Windows 10/11
- Windows Server 2016 and newer versions
- Active Directory & Group Policy
- Network infrastructure (Firewalls, switching, routing, network monitoring and reporting).
- Microsoft Online Services (Exchange, Identity, Intune, etc.)
- Experience in a healthcare environment, especially with Epic
- Managing helpdesk operations
- Understanding of healthcare regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to navigate the balance between staff needs and organizational goals
- The ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage and teach others
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest IT developments
- Ability to manage projects from planning through completion
- Current Microsoft certification(s), A , Network
- Experience managing and coaching personnel
- Ability to manage a team to achieve organization goals and maintain standards
- Ability to provide reports and updates to senior management as necessary
- Experience with Medical technologies including EMR/EHR Systems and related software
