Program Director – Mental Health ClinicJob Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Director to lead our mental health clinic. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of marketing and growing companies, along with strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational oversight skills. This role requires expertise in program development, quality assurance, human resources, and financial oversight to ensure the clinic operates efficiently while delivering high-quality behavioral health services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Agency Oversight & Operations
- Provide leadership and direction for the overall functioning of the clinic.
- Ensure the clinic operates in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment for staff and clients.
- Review, update and implement policies and procedures, identify quality improvement opportunities and develop interventions to improve services and programming based on data collection review.
2. Marketing & Community Outreach
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase visibility and client engagement.
- Represent the agency at community events, networking functions, and outreach initiatives.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, referral sources, and stakeholders.
3. Human Resources & Staffing
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, and performance management of staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work culture while ensuring compliance with HR policies.
4. Performance Metrics & Data Analysis –
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to clinical outcomes, client retention, revenue generation, and operational efficiency.
- Analyze data trends to identify areas for improvement, enhance service delivery, and make informed business decisions.
- Regularly review financial and performance reports to adjust strategies as needed.
- Ensure the clinic's financial accountability by overseeing staff productivity, driving program growth, and maximizing service billability.
4. Claims Management
- Supervise claims submissions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in billing processes.
- Monitor claims processing and address any issues to optimize revenue cycle management.
5. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of care.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and accreditation standards.
- Conduct regular audits and staff training to ensure adherence to best practices.
6. Clinical Coverage and Supervision
- Ensure adequate staffing for all shifts, maintaining clinic coverage at all times.
- Provide clinical client care as needed ( therapy services)
- Meets with and provides supervision of individual staff on regular basis to review assignments, progress, case records and problem areas and makes recommendations regarding methods of treatment and meeting client needs, documenting in supervision note.
- Ensure staff adhere to clinic policies and procedures regarding patient care and safety.
- Reviews case records for completeness, consistency, and quality of mental health services provided including application of proper techniques; ensures compliance with state and federal mandates
- Maintains caseload of 10 clients weekly
7. Medical Records & Documentation
- Oversee the dissemination, maintenance, and security of medical records.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations regarding patient information.
- Implement best practices for documentation and record-keeping.
Qualifications:
- LCPC preferred
- Master’s degree in Mental Health, Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mental health program management or healthcare administration.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in claims processing, payroll, and healthcare billing is a plus.
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Medicaid/Medicare policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including emergency availability as needed.
FCCC welcomes applications from individuals without mental health licensure for part-time positions. Responsibilities may be adjusted to exclude certain job functions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
