Dispatcher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of vehicles and ensuring efficient communication between drivers and management. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to manage fleet operations effectively.

Duties

• Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely and efficient routing of vehicles.
• Utilize fleet management software to monitor vehicle locations and status.
• Operate phone systems to communicate with drivers, providing instructions and updates.
• Input and maintain accurate data entry related to shipments, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance.
• Utilize GIS and GPS technology for optimal route planning and tracking.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring all documentation is complete.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues that arise during transportation operations.
• Maintain a high level of phone etiquette while communicating with drivers, clients, and vendors.
• Collaborate with team members to improve dispatch processes and enhance service delivery.

Experience

• Previous experience in dispatching or fleet management is preferred.
• Familiarity with AS400 or SyteLine systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in data entry and managing shipping/receiving logistics.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
• Experience using GIS tools for route optimization is beneficial but not mandatory.
