Join the First Choice Nurses team today! We are seeking passionate and dedicated RNs, LPNs, and CNAs for per diem and local contract opportunities with our healthcare facility partners. Enjoy flexible hours in a variety of VA locations including Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Courtland, Windsor, Newport News, Hampton, and Williamsburg.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Covid vaccine
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience
  • BLS / CPR certification
  • Updated PPD (within 1 year)
  • Active RN license
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds without restrictions
  • Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to bend and lift without restrictions

    • Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities :

  • Continuously evaluate and monitor patients for signs of recovery or deterioration
  • Change dressings, start IV lines, and insert catheters
  • Prepare medical equipment and maintain supplies for immediate use
  • Administer medication as directed by a physician or nurse's schedule
  • Accurately report on patients' progress to the care team, families, and decision-makers
  • Assist doctors with monitoring and bedside procedures in the progressive care unit
