Part-Time Custodian
Position Title: Night Custodian
Reports to: Primary Facilities Manager, Lead Pastor
Secondary Staff Parish Relations Committee
Work Hours: 10-15 hours per week, Wednesday Evenings, Saturday’s and Sunday’s
Salary: Hourly Wages
Benefits: Insurance Reimbursable Option
Pension match up to 3% in simple IRA
First Church DeLand is seeking a part-time Custodian to join its staff. The part-time custodian is responsible in assisting for the maintenance, care and upkeep of the Church and surrounding grounds and the setup of events and church services. The part-time custodian will work closely with the Pastor, Staff, and volunteer teams to help facilitate the mission of First Church DeLand, which is “To intentionally share Christ’s love and salvation as God directs.”
· Exhibit Christian character at all times in keeping with the Christian faith and expectations of the Church.
· Ability to perform normal cleaning duties (dusting, sweeping, mopping floors, vacuuming, etc.)
· Ability to lift chairs and carry tables for set up of meetings and events.
· Friendly and cooperative nature and ability to work well with total Church staff and congregation and willingness to do so.

· Take down any tables and chairs in Gym
· Sweep and mop Gym
· Sweep and mop Kitchen
- Empty ALL wastepaper baskets as needed in building #4.
- Clean ALL bathrooms in Building #4 and check for supplies soon after events of heavy use. (Clean bathroom toilets, mirrors at least once a week, wipe off hand stains and grease around doors.)
- LOCK ALL EXIT DOORS and turn off lights after usage. Alarm at the end of days.
· Setup chairs for church service in Gym
· Sweep Gym and spot mop where necessary
- Empty ALL wastepaper baskets as needed in building #4.
- Clean ALL bathrooms in Building #4 and check for supplies soon after events of heavy use. (Clean bathroom toilets, mirrors at least once a week, wipe off hand stains and grease around doors.)
- Empty ALL wastepaper baskets as needed in building #6
- Clean ALL bathrooms in Building #6 and check for supplies soon after events of heavy use. (Clean bathroom toilets, mirrors at least once a week, wipe off hand stains and grease around doors.)
· Sweep all hard floors and vacuum carpet, spot mop where necessary in building #6.
- LOCK ALL EXIT DOORS and turn off lights after usage. Alarm at the end of days.
