As the Senior Director of Data Stewardship , you'll be at the forefront of our data transformation, leading efforts to develop and deploy a data stewardship program across First Citizens Bank. Responsibilities
Strategic Partnerships - Build and maintain influential relationships with management, external auditors, and regulators. Serve on key committees and act as a trusted advisor on data governance.
Enterprise Data Management - Ensure alignment with our destination data strategy. Identify gaps, drive strategic initiatives, and influence senior leaders to adopt best-in-class data practices.
Data Governance Leadership - Own the Data Governance Standard, chair the Enterprise Data Council, and lead regulatory audit activities. Build a robust governance framework with effective tools, resources, and diagnostics.
Team Leadership & Development - Recruit, train, and mentor a high-impact team. Drive leadership development, succession planning, and career growth for the Data Management & Governance function.
Innovation & Execution - Streamline data processes, implement cutting-edge solutions, and elevate our data-driven decision-making capabilities across the Bank.

Qualifications
? Experience & Education:
- Bachelor's Degree 12 years in Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, or Data Management (OR) High School Diploma/GED 16 years in relevant experience.
- Advanced Degree preferred.
? Skills & Knowledge:
- Deep expertise in risk management principles, regulatory compliance, and data governance best practices.
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of banking, lending, financial analysis, and credit products.
- Ability to influence C-suite leaders and drive enterprise-wide data initiatives.
