This position provides strategic support and advocacy for retail, business, and commercial banking sales. Leads efforts to deliver tools, resources, and industry expertise that support and enhance the Bank's sales processes, sales production, and client service delivery. Develops strategies to ensure the Bank maintains a competitive advantage through market and industry expertise. Advocates for ongoing development of bankers and enhancements to internal processes to drive excellence in client acquisition and relationship expansion activities that generate revenue for the Bank. Defines service and sales management processes, routines, and competencies that guide client interaction. Promotes a culture of sales coaching and accountability towards the achievement of business goals.
Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy - Develops and implements strategic and tactical plans for retail, business, and commercial banking. Leads sales projects across the market, aligning initiatives with wider organizational goals. Defines sales management processes that ensure the consistent execution of sales and service activities. Leverages opportunities for improvement and revenue growth.
- Sales Support - Supports a sales coaching environment that develops associate skills and knowledge base. Delivers sales and marketing information, materials, and tools that enhance banker sales development efforts and foster profitable relationships. Ensures all sales activities comply with applicable regulations, industry best practices, and internal policies.
- Banker Development - Serves as subject matter expert for business, commercial, and/or retail sales process training. Remains abreast of industry trends in service excellence, sales techniques, and processes that deliver consistent client and shareholder value. Conducts market visits to maintain knowledge, gather feedback, and share insights. Consults with regional management on best practices to enhance performance.
- Strategic Partnership - Builds and fosters productive relationships with field sales leaders and their teams. Cultivates an open line of communication with constituency in a way that builds credibility and trust. Captures banker and sales leader feedback and translate into recommended improvements and enhancements. Works cross-functionally within product and client segment groups, as well as with business partners, to develop competitive strategies. Collaborates on the establishment of consistent policies, practices, and standards that drive sales and service performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Sales, Education, or Financial Services field. Retail, Business, or Commercial Banking encompassing sales and service delivery, lending, and product acumen.

Preferred Area of Study: MBA or other postgraduate degree
Preferred Area of Experience: Demonstrated Project Management discipline
