What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agriculture Loan Officer position at First Citizens National Bank of Upper Sandusky?
Purpose:
The individual is responsible for proactively executing integrated sales, service and relationship strategies to support growth and retention of business customers, specifically agricultural customers.
Principal Activities:
1) Serves primarily as an agricultural loan officer. May originate and close other types of loans to accommodate customer needs and provide superior customer service.
2) Promotes and supports loan growth with prospects as well as existing customers. Must be able to explain products, programs, and loan processes, as well as set customer expectations.
3) Takes loan applications outside of the bank and in assigned banking office(s), as well as collects information for underwriting. Understands and reviews loan closing documents prior to closing to ensure accuracy.
4) Establishes a strong FCNB presence in the market by actively participating in community organizations/projects and representing the Bank positively at these events.
5) Provides strong, and visible leadership, which fosters positive attitudes and trust among employees, clients and prospects.
6) Ensures the credit quality of loans to minimize loan losses. Recognize early warning signs and closely monitor clients to anticipate changes in risk rating. Proactively identify issues to mitigate potential future risk.
7) Manages personal pipeline to ensure service standards and financial goals are met.
8) Maintain compliance with all legal and regulatory lending requirements and strictly adhere to internal control policies and procedures.
9) Coordinate underwriting of commercial loans with Credit Analyst in accordance with established written procedures.
10) Maintains compliance to all government regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation E (Electronic Funds), Regulation CC (Funds Availability), CRA and Regulation DD or other policies pertaining to your position.
11) Assists with collections activity, annual borrower reviews, and site visits, as needed.
Others:
1) Assist with other projects and duties as needed.
Requirements:Qualified candidate will have agriculture lending experience and/or formal credit training. Requires a four year college degree in business/finance/agriculture or equivalent work experiences and/or formal bank training schools and seminars. Requires strong interpersonal communications skills and well-developed written communications skills.
