Deposit Operations Representative I
Reports To: Deposit Operations Manager or Chief Operations Officer
The Deposit Operations Representative I will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the deposit department, including processing and managing customer deposits, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations, and maintaining accurate records of transactions. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who want to develop a career in banking operations while ensuring excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
o Manage the end-to-end processing of all deposit transactions, including ACH transfers, wire transfers, check deposits, and other forms of deposits.
o Reconcile construction draws and enter GL descriptions ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded.
o Review and verify incoming large check deposits, ensuring adherence to internal controls and banking regulations.
o Review and process incoming tax levy and garnishment orders, including federal, state, and local government-issued orders.
o Print and mail out CD Interest checks/notices.
o Receive and process DNE’s by updating the bank’s system to reflect the customer’s status as deceased.
o Regularly review and monitor accounts that have been charged off to ensure accurate reporting and proper handling in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
o Prepare and generate business statements and various reports
o Ensure all documentation is archived properly following retention guidelines
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: 1 years of experience in deposit operations, banking, or a similar financial services role.
- Skills:
- High level of accuracy in processing deposits and handling customer information.
- Ability to address complex deposit issues and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance standards, including BSA, AML, and KYC.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with banking software/systems.
