Teller I
Reports To: Teller Supervisor or Assistant Branch Manager
As a Teller I, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and performing a range of financial transactions. This is an entry-level position where you will be learning essential teller duties while maintaining accuracy, a high level of professionalism, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, and check cashing transactions accurately.
- Verify and validate customer identification and check signatures to ensure compliance.
- Assist customers with account inquiries and provide information on products and services. Direct them to the appropriate resources for more complex needs.
- Balance cash drawer throughout the day and at the end of each shift to ensure accuracy. Maintain precise transaction records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Follow security procedures to prevent fraud, report suspicious activity and ensure the safety of financial transactions.
- Identify customer needs and refer them to appropriate departments or products.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information at all times.
- Handle routine customer inquiries via phone or in-person.
- Provide excellent customer service with a positive, friendly attitude.
- Ensure all transactions are completed in a timely manner and with accuracy.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: Previous experience in a banking or customer service role is preferred
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service orientation and ability to build relationships.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
