Job Description
The Senior Information Security Engineer will assume, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Design, manage, and maintain information security systems to ensure member data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Compliance with established security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Monitor, manage, and analyze malicious activities daily to ensure the credit union's security infrastructure.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the Information Technology Security Program, including policies, standards, procedures, and security awareness training.
- Conduct vulnerability scanning and develop prioritized remediation plans.
- Assist internal and external auditors as required.
About the Role
- Undergraduate degree and four (4) years of information security-related experience; or six (6) plus years of information security-related experience.
- One or more industry certifications such as ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), GIAC Information Security Certification, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Strong knowledge and experience with IDS/IPS Technologies, Firewall management and maintenance, Anti-Virus / Anti-Malware software, network protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc.), SIEM/LEM technology, and more.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong investigation, remediation, and reporting abilities.
