We are currently seeking a licensed veterinary technician or an experienced assistant with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience to join our full-time team. Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, reliability, a team-oriented mindset, and strong attention to detail. Candidates must be available to work two Saturdays each month.
This role focuses on patient care, requiring the ability to handle pets safely and compassionately, especially those that may be stressed or injured. To be considered, candidates should be able to:
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills
- Perform animal restraint, phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and manage technician appointments while providing client education. We are willing to train some of the above skills for the right candidate.
- Pay close attention to detail and remain aware of the environment
- Collaborate effectively with team members and support veterinarians during surgical procedures and patient care
- Lift up to 50 pounds safely
- Multi-task, stay organized, and complete tasks efficiently under time constraints
- Communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service
For those applying as an assistant without a veterinary technician license, a minimum of 1 year of experience in relevant duties is required.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including some Saturday shifts.
