JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
The Stockroom Lead will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, servicing, and dispatch of a wide variety of products. This individual will ensure that all warehouse processes operate smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing the daily workflow of the warehouse.
Scheduling and organizing staff to ensure proper staffing.
Training new warehouse team members.
Ensuring efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments.
Researching, identifying, and presenting new ideas to improve warehouse operations.
Ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
Leading periodic physical inventories.
Executing strategy for cleanliness and organization.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
Planning and executing year-end inventory counts.
Required Qualifications
Three years of related lead experience.
Proficient with inventory reporting systems, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar software.
Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment and follow safety precautions; forklift certification is a plus.
Time Management.
Excellent written and oral Communication.
Work Environment
This job operates in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature, reaching over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at times.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse. The employee is occasionally required to lift 50 pounds.
