Status: Salaried *
Local General Contractor looking to add a Superintendent to the team. This opportunity is available for a highly motivated candidate who is able to jump in feet first. Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail oriented and experienced in the Supervision of Commercial Construction projects of various types and sizes with exceptional customer oriented skills. Must be able to pass Background check, have transportation, vehicle allowance may be provided. Paid Holidays provided and Vacation after one year of employment. Employer contribution towards Medical and Dental. Some travel may be required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature of the work being performed by individuals assigned to this position
- Assist Preconstruction and The Project Manager to develop initial project schedule
- Provides constructability / logistics analysis and value engineering recommendations during preconstruction and construction phases
- Evaluates risk early on in project and provides strategic thinking expertise during pre-construction
- Assist The Project Manager in scope of work development / scope buy out and management
- Enforce a project specific proactive safety program
- Enforce project specific Emergency Preparedness procedures
- Oversee all field activity for all work divisions, including but not limited to, general requirements, civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, landscaping, and hardscape scopes of work
- Monitor / enforce all environmental compliance / regulations (FDEP / SWPPP, etc.)
- Monitor / enforce project clean up program / resort operational readiness clean up and roadway cleaning expectations
- Coordinates with The Project Manager , reviews submittals and site delivered materials for compliance to contract documents
- Supervises and coordinates all on-site construction activities
- Identifies and monitors applicable points of coordination at multiple levels
- Oversees / enforces contractor compliance with contract drawings and specifications and changes
- Oversee / manage field quality control program
- Oversee / manage project progress photography
- Coordinates and monitors activities of testing laboratory agency and Threshold agent inspection process
- Prepares and implements site logistics plan
- Verify existing site conditions against design documents
- Monitor / verify project record as-builts vs. actual field conditions.
- Review and monitor, and provide reporting status for project schedule activities, including 3-week look ahead schedules
- Prepare daily log of contractor work activities and compare against contractor’s daily reports. Track personnel on site, equipment used and construction progress
- Coordinate site access and interface with contractor(s), resort operations, vendors and governmental agencies.
- Review and approve progress payment requisitions, including stored materials
- Oversee / manage punch-list / project turnover process
- Coordinate site security with resort operations, The Project Manager and other team members
- Successfully partner with The Project Manager(s), design consultants, construction teams, and resort operations personnel
- Monitor / enforce project clean up program / resort operational readiness clean up and road cleaning expectations
- Use benefits of overall technical experience to identify potential field problems, areas of risk, and proactively seek solutions and make assignments
- Adherence to all personnel policies and company handbooks
REQUIREMENTS
-Minimum of 5 years field experience in commercial construction
-Must pass Background Check- work on Federal Installations and School Districts
-Ability to communicate effectively with management, contractors and all levels of field personnel
-Ability to manage multiple priorities on a complex construction site
-Ability to provide technical expertise in construction activities to ensure adherence to quality standards
-Strong organization and tracking skills
-Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Corecon), preferred
-Must possess valid driver’s license and have transportation to job site, Vehicle Allowance Provided
-Pre-Employment Drug Screening

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
