Instructor

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated behind the wheel instructor to teach our driver education courses. As an instructor, we expect you to be inspiring and a good communicator. We teach students from the Shreveport -Bossier City area.

• If you are bilingual, you may qualify for additional pay.

· Candidates to provide in-car instruction to students ages 15 and above.

· Bilingual proficiency is rewarded.

· Candidates should expect to be available at least 4 hours per week, up to 40 hours per week.

· We have flexibility in setting schedules with availability some weekends and evening availability required.

· There is a 3-week unpaid certification process you complete at your own pace prior to being hired and trained.

· There is an upfront investment to become a certified instructor of $200, which is for the 30-hour class and the certification process by the state.

· Starting pay is $16-$18/hour depending on experience and certifications.

· We provide our vehicle for driving instruction.

· This is a highly regulated position with the State of Louisiana DPS. Applicants with drug or alcohol arrests or violent misdemeanor arrests will not be approved by the State.

Job Types: Part time – Full-time, especially when teenagers are not in school.

Pay: $16.00-$18 starting, $30 or more depending on your experience. Expected hours 20 to 40 per week.

Education:

· High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

· Teaching/Training 1 year (Preferred)

· Driving: 5 years (Required)
