What are the responsibilities and job description for the Appraisal Review Specialist position at First Community Bank?
Basic Function:
The Appraisal Review Specialist is responsible for reviewing and ensuring that the Bank receives appropriately prepared appraisals for use in real estate transactions. This position provides oversight of various valuation functions and conducts quality reviews. The primary role of this position is to review and evaluate appraisals for quality, report reconsiderations, compliance and service level standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review incoming appraisals
- Ensures accuracy, quality, and compliance in all documentation
- Follows up on appraisal revisions with appraiser
- Utilize desk review skills to perform research and analysis on real estate appraisals
- Perform quality control on outsourced valuation products and services
- Compliance with all government regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations
- Comply with regulations, bank policies and procedures
- Attend department and company meetings and/or training which may be outside of regularly scheduled work hours.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned
