What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Accounts Representative position at First Community Bank?
Basic Function:
This position is responsible for processing all transactions related to the opening of a new account including checking, savings, certificate of deposit, safe deposit box, IRA, etc., following documented policy and procedure to prevent losses to the bank. This position is responsible for knowing the features and benefits of all bank products and services and cross-sell to new and existing customers. This position must present a quality professional image for First Community Bank and have the ability and desire to develop and maintain quality customer relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Deliver consistent, high quality service to internal and external customers and maintain strict confidentiality in all bank matters.
· Assist on the teller line as needed.
· Communicate the benefits of bank products and services and assist customers in determining the most beneficial for their needs.
· Document imaging/indexing
· Following established procedures verify identification of customer prior to establishing any type of account.
· Complete processing of customer information to open accounts.
· Present funds received to teller for processing and obtain receipt for customer.
· Process orders for ATM/Debit cards for all branches.
· Effectively organize and plan workflow to perform job functions in a timely manner.
· Promote all bank services to customers cross-selling to new and existing customers.
· Resolve customer problems either through personal action or referral to other bank staff.
· As required, allow customers access to safe deposit box following established procedures.
· Promptly and successfully complete all compliance training as determined by compliance department.
· Attend department and company meetings/training which may be scheduled outside of normal working hours.
· As requested, assist in the training of new employees.
· Back up Teller, as needed.
· Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
