The Senior Commerical Loan Documentation Specialist prepares loan documentation and review supporting documentation for complex loans to individuals and/or entities for commercial loan purposes as well as commercial loan modifications and renewals while working under limited supervision. They train and pre-review work of new team members. They review loan approvals, prepare loan documents, request and review required supporting documentation, and determine if supporting documentation is complete for loan closings. They work with lending staff to document loans according to approval, credit policy, and federal regulations and to resolve or clarify any possible deficiencies in loan files. They prepare the legal documents provided to the customer for closing and ensure the Bank's interest in the collateral is perfected. They documentation and security interest must be accurate according to the approval, credit policy, and federal regulations.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist co-workers with loan documentation related questions.
- Prepare commercial loan documents within the Bank's portfolio to ensure adherence to lending regulations, lending compliance, and the Bank's credit policy.
- Prepare or review, in the instance of attorney prepared documents, accurately/or for accuracy and consistently/or for consistency with approval requirements.
- Review collateral support documents such as title commitments, flood determinations, insurance, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) searches, etc.
- Confirm appraisal and environmental reports are completed by the Appraisal Department.
- Process, review, and upload complete UCC collateral filings in adherence to Bank policy as well as ensuring that the Bank's security interest is established and lien position is upheld.
- Process all commercial loan modification requests, which includes reviewing the files to ensure accuracy, lien perfection, and support documentation to prepare documentation, which includes renewals, deferrals, and modifications.
- Provide support to the lending team to process the loan according to approval, established policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory issues including but not limited to Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Flood, Beneficial Ownership, Customer Identification Program (CIP), Environmental, Appraisal, Regulation O, and Regulation B.
- Review and submit completed loan documents to lending team for closing.
- Independently prioritize workflow to maximize production turn around to adhere to service level agreements and minimize administrative delinquencies.
- Coordinate scheduling closings with the lending team.
- Assist with departmental projects.
- Research and analyze problems that arise.
- Train new hires.
- Review loans and apply, if necessary, loan documentation authority.
- Complete training, as assigned, within the expected timeframes.

- Three years of commercial loan documentation preparation experience or experience in a legal office with commercial loan documentation or collateral perfection preferred
- Banking experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Ability to operate in a deadline driven environment without sacrificing attention to detail

- Proven ability to research and analyze problems and obtain solutions

- Strong written communication skills including grammar, spelling, and composition
