What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at First Community Credit Union?
First Community Credit Union is looking for a Vice President of Accounting for our Copperfield headquarters (NW Houston). The VP will assist in the daily functions of the Accounting department, general ledger entries/reconciliations, subsidiaries, wires and member requested items. They are responsible for directing, training, and supervising Accounting personnel and ensuring the team's optimal performance by hiring, coaching, and writing performance appraisals. They will assist with complex issues as they arise, and will be the subject matter expert for accounting policies and procedures along with monthly close. The qualified candidate will have a Graduate degree (or Bachelor's degree and professional certificate) and 5 to 8 years of accounting experience. CPA designation is preferred.
