- Must have 2 year recent experience in a hospital clinical lab setting.
- Department: Lab
- Certs: BLS not required, CLS license in CA - ASCP certified there is more direct route for licensure, time table for licensure varies
- EMR: Hospital uses Cerner, their LIS is a version of Cerner
- Charge Nurse: Onsite Supervisor M-F 8am-5pm
- Weekend Requirement: Dependent on facility, could be up to every weekend, there is a weekend rotation as well and they will open a position for all weekends that will fill in variable for the week
- Holidays: Dependent on needs of facility, typically if holiday fall on your day to work you will be required to work that holiday, holidays are based on sign up and rotation as well
- Scrub Color: Fire engine red
- IV Team: No
- Shifts: Schedule is dependent on need, 8 hr,10 hr, 12 hr shifts, will be required to do 8 hr shifts most likely 6am or 630am start time to 3pm or 7a-330pm, 3p-1130pm, and then 11p-7a shift
- Floor specific orientation: Depends on candidate, on average several days up to 2 weeks max, usually if candidate has experience with their LIS systems orientation is not very long
- Additional Notes: candidates will work in lab processing, must have 2 years of experience and MUST be generalist and be able to perform all duties including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank, and some limited micro, Their equipment includes Client architects for chem & coagulation, Beckman Holter dxh 800 for hematology, Iris for urinalysis, and manual ortho gel for blood bank. Looking for someone that can do blood draws.
