Common diagnoses / Types of patients : Pneumonia, cellutitis, end of life, elective joint replacement, emergent abdominal surgery, mental health, long term placement

Experience or 'Must have' skills : Must have at least 1 year of acute care RN experience

Are RNs required to titrate drips? yes

Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Heparin, morphine, fentanyl

Charge Nurse / House Supervisor Yes

Are there nurse aids on this unit / Ratios Yes, 8-10 : 1

RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) CPap

Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? Tele monitoring remotely monitored
