Virtual Companion Program for Dignity Health; facility is referred to as a Virtual Hospital Setting
THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION - MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK IN PHOENIX AZ
Required Certifications Prefer CNA- with acute or LTC. Will take a CMA.
Common diagnoses/Types of patients Fall risk, disoriented, pulling at tubes/lines, elopment risk, ETOH/.overdose (watching for contraband), wandering
Experience or 'Must have' skills Good customer service skills, comfortable on the computer. Able to manage stress and communicate well in stressful times
Job Duties: i.e. Blood Sugars, Insertion of Straight Catheter, EKGs, Insertion or Removal of IV's? Redirecting and communicating with patients that may be confused, communication with the patient is through the computer. Knowledge and understaning of when a situation warrants a stat calling.
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Managers. Available at all times.
Shifts & Scheduling 12 hours 6-630
Weekend Requirement two full weekends or 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule.
Holiday Requirement Yes
Is there a call or standby requirement? none
Floating Requirements May potentially work the operator service (same location).
Scrub Color/Dress Code Scrubs are not required. Business causual- no open toed shoes or fuzzy slippers
Unit/Department specific orientation 2-3 full shifts
Additional Notes This is an in person position, in the office with other staff, not working from home. Will be monitoring patients at multiple different hospitals in many states.
