Job Description
POLYSOMNOGRAPHIC TECHNOLOGIST
Summary of Responsibilities: Responsible for gather information; setting up and calibrating the polysomnograms and ancillary equipment, monitoring and recording overnight test procedures as well as scoring polysomnograms on infant through adult patients. Adheres to the customer service standards as set forth by the MetroHealth Medical Center.
Mandatory Qualifications: Registered PSG Technologist or RRT or RN registered with the State of Ohio license, or registered EEG Technician. BLS from the American Heart Association ONLY.
Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Registered PSG Technologist or RRT or EEG Technician.
Physical Environment Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
