WA License Required
NOTE: If a technologist only has an MRI certification, they can not apply for a WA state license as the state license is only for X-ray, Nuc Med, Radiation Therapy. The WA state license is not required for MRI. We require an MRI certification which ARMRIT would suffice.

General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) BLS
Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements ARRT (MRI)
How many scanners/rooms does this department have? One
What areas do they cover? Outpatient
Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: General outpatient MRI scans. no procedures and no conscious sedations
Experience or 'Must have' skills Yes. MUST have IV skills
Average # of scans/studies per day: 60 min appointments , 9 patients a day for 10 hour shift
EMR & PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use: EMR: EPIC PACS: Sectra
Department Specific Equipment (Client, Phillips, Siemens): HITACHI OPEN OASIS
Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech: One Lead at each location
Radiologist in-house? On site during contrast hours
Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) Yes. MUST have IV skills for MRI candidates
Shifts & Scheduling: 10 hours shifts: 0715-1745, Days of week depend on position
Weekend Requirement: Depends on position
Call Requirement: none

** There are 4 locations, all about 15 minutes from each other. Could be assigned to any of these outpatient centers, they would know ahead of time which location they will be at for the shift
