Provides patient care in an emergency setting, reflecting initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with minimum supervision. Triages safely, rapidly, and accurately. Communicates with physicians about patient status. Must be willing to cross-train in other nursing departments as the need arises.
Qualifications & Skills
Current California RN license, BLS, ACLS* and PALS* certifications required, with 2 years recent ER experience preferred and operating knowledge of Electronic Medical Records preferred. Must pass nursing medication test. Must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written. Must have good interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully, and respectfully with patients, staff, the general public, and governmental agency reps. Basic computer skills required.
Work requirements: Must be available to work weekends and holidays. 12 Hour shifts required.
