General job duties. Types of procedures required.
RN Direct patient care provided to patients in their home- Vital Signs, Physical Assessments including OASIS, IV, Wound, Lab draws, Disease Management education, Case Management
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.
EMR, Protime machines, Vital signs
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Home Health experience including OASIS documentation, EMR proficiency, IV and Wound care, Phlebotomy, Catheter care,
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
RN, CPR
Shift or schedule requirements.
Weekdays, no weekends, no holidays.
Peoria Home Health call is: 1-3 days of call (after hours) it would typically be 2 shifts per month
Home Health requires autonomous practice in patient s home, supervisors are available for support
Floating to other units/departments.
None
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
No beds, we have a census of 550-600 patients, RN would be responsible for completing 5-6 visits daily, or 25 per week.
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit.
20 or 25-1
Dress Code:
Scrubs, Professional appearance, tattoos must be covered, no facial piercings, conservative dress where no midriff is exposed, undergarments are not visible beneath shirts.
Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
We would train on our EMR, and company specific policies for wounds and IV. They would have experiences with a preceptor, this would be limited to max of 2 weeks.
Additional Comments:
We are a department with a very good staff satisfaction score- we were 4.59 last September, and that outperformed Home Care at 4.44. Leadership team is supportive of staff, good communicators, and good at resolving issues for staff.
