Department: OR Tech / Surg Tech
- Certifications Required: BLS (Preferred: CST)
- # of Suites: 6
- Average # of cases per day: Over 400 per month
- Common Cases: Adults and Peds, We are a mix of mainly outpatient procedures including ortho (including total joints and sports med), general, obgyn, robotic, plastics, ENT, Urology, hands, podiatry, breast reconstructions
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must be able to handle total joints, robotics, general laparoscopic cases, urology, hand and foot, breast cases including reconstructions
- Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: No
- EMR: EPIC
- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0630-1700 // OR supervisor will make schedule
- Weeknight/Call Requirements: 6-7 call shifts per month
- Weekend/Call Requirements: 2-3 weekends in a 13 week contract
- Holiday/Call Requirements: Depending on needs at least 1 holiday call per year
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided
- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1-3 days

Attributes that make staff most successful in this department include hard worker, fast and efficient, attention to details, willingness to be a great team player, great interpersonal skills, willingness to take call (even on short notice) Willingness to change shifts to accommodate changing volumes.
