PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physical therapists evaluate posture, gait, balance, coordination and strength to develop a treatment plan with the goal of helping the patient regain mobility and independence. After identifying areas of strength and weakness, a physical therapist may work to improve a patient s independence with tasks such as getting up from a chair or climbing stairs.
Leads, guides and directs the delivery of physical therapy services in the facility in accordance with local, state and federal regulations, standards and established facility policies and procedures to provide appropriate care and services to residents.
The Physical Therapist must possess:
A valid, unrestricted license in his/her therapy discipline in the state.
Meet educational requirements of his/her licensure requirements.
Valid driver s license in the state of employment.
Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
2 years of PT experience - Preferred
Psych experience a plus
LTC or Rehab experience - Required
MO State License - Required (or willing to obtain)
STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
Missouri

St. Joseph Chateau is a small 68 bed psychiatric care facility where our dedicated therapy team engages residents in community activities and group therapy that enhances their quality of life. We have a very small therapy gym but our team coordinates well together and maximizes our space! We have an amazing group of caregivers who have been here for many years and know our resident's needs extremely well and go above and beyond to make sure everyone is well cared for. Our administrator has a huge heart and gives 100% to his team every day. Patient care is his number one priority. We are part of a newly formed healthcare company whose goal is to become the premier inpatient rehab provider in the communities we serve.
