Receptionist / Banking Assistant
 
First Dakota is hiring a full-time Receptionist to join our Mitchell team. This position also serves as a banking assistant on an as needed basis. Greet and welcome visitors, assist with various banking services and functions in deposit and lending departments and other administrative duties. Hours include Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00.
 
Duties
  • Greets customers as they enter the Bank and take and/or direct them to the proper area
  • Evaluates needs of potential customers and offers
  • appropriate financial products and services
  • Prepares and compiles new customer application and information to open new account
  • Provides ongoing relationship servicing with current customers to maintain goodwill and gain additional business
  • Informs and advises customers of status or enhancements to current account productivity, and suggests resolution on account disputes and other account activity
  • Responds to customer inquiries and requests regarding account
  • Promotes and cross-sells other establishment products and services as appropriate to customer requirements
  • Generates new business to assist in meeting establishment profitability goals
  • Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel or department
  • Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department
  • Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring logbook and issuing visitor badges
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Contributes to team effort by assisting various departments as needed
  • Collect and distribute daily mail
  • Provide internal staff with professional administrative support including taking accurate and properly detailed messages
  • Orders, receives and maintains office supplies
  • Scan, index and archive Bank documents to archive solution
  • Organize & manage bank and community events and activities
  • Attendance – regularly designated work shift required
  • Other duties as assigned
 
 
Qualifications
Attributes include a positive attitude and good work ethic. The ability to process a variety of tasks accurately and efficiently, the capability to maintain strict confidentiality, attention to detail and comply with all Bank policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with various types of clientele, co-workers and departments to resolve an assortment of needs. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Punctuality is a must.

Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Some college preferred.

Work Environment
Office: The work environment of this job includes interacting with others in an office setting, and the noise level is usually moderate. 

Physical Demands
Light: The physical demands of this job include bending, sitting, and occasionally lifting up to 10 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
