The contractor shall:
- Develop, write, and edit technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and system specifications
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation
- Create and maintain documentation templates and standards
- Review and update existing documentation to ensure consistency and compliance with government standards
- Conduct research and analysis to understand technical concepts and effectively communicate them to a non-technical audience
- Assist in the development of training materials and presentations
- Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
- 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably within the USMC or Department of Defense (DoD)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems
- Familiarity with software development processes and terminology
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
- Light to moderate lifting may be required
- Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate
